Enhancements For iPhone Users  With New Wireless Accessories

Within a matter of weeks before the release of the iPhone 3G S handset, users were buoyed by the summer news surrounding a new wireless charging accessory. In an effort to catch up with their high street rivals Palm, Apple has moved swiftly to place themselves firmly in the wireless charging market.

Palm’s latest device, the Palm Pre, helped them take the idea of wireless charging into the mainstream, but their dominance in this area could be soon to end.

With the input of developers, WildCharge, an effective wireless charging solution for the iPhone is ready for release. By using an iPhone or iPod in a gel skin connector, the user can select the handset for the charger pad and carry out the process.

It is important to note that this is also compatible with a number of other major brands including BlackBerry, Pearl and Motorola. In comparison, the Palm wireless add-on is strictly exclusive to their products.

Developers have taken things a step further by introducing a universal adaptor for the iPhone that extends wireless charging ability to an additional 150 devices – an interesting device for an office or building.

Although it has already been possible for owners of BlackBerry devices to wirelessly charge their handsets, the opportunity for iPhone users to ditch the wires and docking stations has been an attractive proposition. The ideal technological solution for the consumer would be the development of a wireless charger that worked simultaneously with mobile phones, laptops and other mobile devices. However, as yet this is some way from coming to fruition.

Nevertheless, wireless charging is a useful addition to the iPhone, as Apple attempts to move its products into the 21st century. Such breakthroughs could provide the opportunity to develop a universal product, compatible with a wide range of handsets and mobile devices. However, until manufacturers reach some common ground this undeniably remains pie in the sky.
